Preschool Times

Welcome to Mrs. Darst's Preschool Times! I will try to update this newsletter each week.
First day of school is Monday, August 24 with an 11:30 dismissal. It will be hard for some of the children and they may cry, but trust me they will be ok. Most of the time, they stop crying a few minutes after you leave. It is easier on them if you drop them off and leave then to stay with them. I will always call if your child does not stop crying.
The rest of the week, the children will be dismissed at 2:05. We will start dismissing children at 2:00. The doors will be locked, we will bring the children to you. They will have a short rest time and will probably not get a chance to sleep, please be aware of this as they will be tired when they get home.
Meet the Teacher night is Wednesday, August 26. There will be ice cream served in the All Purpose room.
Book orders are due on Thursday, August 27. You can go online and order books. I will send home a paper on how to do that on the first day of school.

If all goes as planned, my last day will be September 3. Mrs. Baker will be my sub. She will be in to volunteer a few times before to meet the children and learn the routine. I will be out for 6-8 weeks after the baby is born.
