Leo Szaltis
Mr. Szaltis graduated from St. Ambrose University with a Bachelor's of Arts in Piano Performance as well as a Bachelor's of Music Education. He has worked in the Davenport and Bettendorf School Districts as well as giving private piano and voice music lessons for a number of years.
Additionally, Mr. Szaltis has earned his Master's of Business and is licensed to teach business, computers, and social studies as well. He has completed additional graduate coursework at Drake University and Eastern Washington University including courses in educational travel methods.
Mr. Szaltis is very involved with many extracurricular activities outside of the music field. He is an IHSA licensed official in football, volleyball, and wrestling. But most of all, he likes to participate in student travel to show his students that one of the best places to learn is outside of the classroom. For the past few years, Mr. Szaltis has been active with People to People International Ambassador Programs. Through this program, he has been able to take students twice to Europe as well as Washington, D.C.
Whatever 'hat' Mr. Szaltis is wearing at the time, he hopes that all of the students have a fun and rewarding school year.
