This Week In Preschool....

The children will be practicing our routine this week.  They will learn how to play in our centers during work time.  This includes how to correctly play with the toys and where to put them when we clean up.  We will soon start with our helpers and learn how to do each job.  Next week, we will start doing our calendar and morning message.  I will send out more information about these when we start.  Our bathroom is being fixed, so we are taking quite a few walks to the big bathrooms in the front hallway.  They are getting lots of exercise.  We will also be spending lots of time outside playing on the playground.  Each day, the children listen to stories that I read and stories on CDs.  Have a great week!!!!

Book Orders

I sent home book orders today in your child's folder.  This is a great way to build your child's library at a low cost.  You do not have to buy any if you do not want to.  If you choose to, please fill out the form and send in the payment by Thurs., Sept. 2.  If you are writing a check, you can write one for all orders you make.  Make it out to Scholastic Book Clubs.  The books generally take about a week to get here.  You can order online, also.  There is information about that in the folder.  Thanks!

Library

Library is on Wednesday.  Please make sure your child's book is back to school by each Wednesday.  If they do not bring it back, they do not get to check out any books that week.

Miss Wendy

Miss Wendy will be visiting us each Monday.  She is the school's Behavior Specialist.   She comes in each week for half an hour to do activities with our class.  She talks about manners, teaches us songs, and is using sign language with us.  She always brings a surprise box for us to guess what is in it.  This week it was bubbles.

Dismissal and Days Off

This week, the children will be dismissed at 2:00 Monday- Thursday.  On Friday, the children will be getting out at 11:30.  There is no school on Monday, September 6 due to Labor Day.  Next week, the children will be dismissed at the normal scheduled time at 3:00.  We will have them ready at 2:50, if you are picking your child up.

Reminder

Remember, if your child is going to miss school, you need to call the school to let us know why they are going to be absent.  It is important that we know.
