First Grade News #8 October 23, 2009 The end of 1st Quarter is today. Parent/Teacher Conferences are Thursday, Oct. 29th, and Friday, Oct. 30th. 11:30 Dismissal on Thursday, Oct. 29th. The Halloween party will be on Thursday, Oct. 29th. Students should wear their costumes to school that day. We will begin the costume parade at 8:30. Feel free to join us. We will walk around the elementary school and the high school, ending up in the elementary All-Purpose room. The classroom parties will begin at 9:00. If you are assigned to the Halloween party, feel free to come to the classroom before 9 if you need to store materials or set anything up. School will dismiss at 11:30 on the day of the Halloween party. If your child would like to change out of his/her costume after the Halloween party, please send a pair of extra clothes with him/her to school. Although only some parents are assigned to the Halloween party, all parents/friends/relatives are welcome! Math- We have begun our addition facts. Please practice these facts at home with your child. After awhile, the facts will be taught more quickly, so it is important no one gets behind. Keep sending box tops! Keep reading those AR books. We have several medal winners so far!
