900441361Congratulations to Blayne for being our “Star of the Week.”

 

I am planning on playing some Christmas music in the classroom. If you have objections to me doing this, please let me know by tomorrow, November 30. If I do not hear from anyone I will assume you have no objections to your child hearing music about Santa and other Christmas music.

 

Upcoming events:

November 30, Tuesday your list of books you read to your child are due!!

December 2, Thursday Book Orders Are DUE.

December 2, Thursday @ 6 P.M. is our Family Night. Hope everyone will come join the fun.

December 8, Wednesday is an early dismissal @ 2:00.

December 14 & 15 is Santa’s Workshop

December 15, Wednesday is our Christmas Party @ 2:00. If you are on the committee please contact your chairperson, Krystal Yeoman.

December 16, Thursday is our Christmas Program @ 6:00 in the High School Gym. We will be the first to perform. You will bring your child to the Junior High before 6 P.M. You may pick your child up after the program has ended.

December 20-January 2 is Winter Break

January 3, Monday Return to school

 

Still need several family photos, please.

 

We are working on our 5 senses for the next couple of weeks along with learning about Christmas Around the World. We will discuss Hanukah and Kwanza. The children will enjoy making art activities to represent each of the holidays.

I was asked about the recipe for our turnovers we made last week. Get some pie crust, roll it out, cut out a circle, sprinkle sugar on the dough, add tablespoon of pie filling, fold crust over top of filling, and bake @ 350 for about 10-15 minutes. They are delicious.

We still have the color book floating around. When you get one of our homemade books, please send it back the next day. We don’t want anyone to miss reading it.
